There is a real flower known as the Gas plant who's flower excludes a flammable gas. Don't believe me? Just watch this video by my wife, Kelly Anne.
Just add a giant size version and when the party comes along with lanterns and torches.... I think you can take it from there.

I've seen video of this plant before, but I've never seen one taken at night. Very cool!
MMMmmmm. *That's* good to know. Next time my players turn round as tell me a monster is too gonzo, I'll show em this video.
I'm going to purposefully put an Orc in one of those, and prompt my Half-Elf player to use her flaming arrows.
