City State of the Sea Kings is Released!

Well the cat is out of the bag and Chris Bernhardt's City State of the Sea Kings is finally back from the printer and out for release. Chris working with Robert Bledsaw Jr (Bob Bledsaw's son and now owner of Judges Guild) has released the first official Judges Guild products in ages.

It covers the Isle of the Blest which just lies off the southern tip of the Padizan Peninsula. The central land mass of the Wilderlands and includes the City State of the Sea Kings, Rallu.

I did some of the cartography including the big map of the Isle of the Blest.

I will blogging more about this style later. I consider it one of my best works as the map builds directly off of the wilderness style hex maps of Judges Guild. If you look closely you will see I drew each hex exactly like the ones found in Mines of Custalon, Spies of Lightelf, etc. Also this map prompted me to rebuild the zipatone jungle texture that the original maps used.

This image by Wayne Rossi show how it looks when you get it in hand.

Note that it does have high shipping cost because Chris ships it either via priority mail or express mail.

I had the opportunity to meet Chris when he was selling the book at DexCon a couple of weeks ago.

I can attest that the book is *beautiful* and *huge*. I'm very glad that the JG Wilderlands has come back in such style, and hope they continue to do so. Well worth it.

Sorry it is not. It was released print only and as far as I know after it was sold out another one was NOT ordered.
