Not much use for scouting if you already have to be able to visually see the target.

We found Invisibility great for turning the whole party invisible over a few nights before adventuring because, as written, it can last for days!Lyracianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13021663969271276571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5904133056957353312.post-34247799145178525482020-03-04T11:54:45.628-05:002020-03-04T11:54:45.628-05:00@Charles, I can affirm Conley's experience wit...@Charles, I can affirm Conley's experience with the Detect spells. Once my players figured out how useful they were in scouting out areas of a dungeon, they became essential spell choices.FrDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00459281821319914530noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5904133056957353312.post-89213454820094797492020-03-04T08:17:47.765-05:002020-03-04T08:17:47.765-05:00@Charles the main reason it dropped in popularity ...@Charles the main reason it dropped in popularity in my campaign is that the players found out the usefulness of Detect Evil and Detect Thoughts. One of the uses of Invisibility is for scouting however both detect spells are better.

I may re-think the odds here as Invisibility is far more useful than any of the 3rd tier. However keep in mind this is a case of spell memorization. What to memorize in one of the few 2nd level spell slots you have. Other things that grant invisibility like ring are still hugely popular.

Robert Conleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03863009007381185340noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5904133056957353312.post-44909595396614201102020-03-04T07:46:14.101-05:002020-03-04T07:46:14.101-05:00Invisibility isn’t the most-taken second-level spe...Invisibility isn’t the most-taken second-level spell in your games?!
