City State of the Sea Kings is Released!

Well the cat is out of the bag and Chris Bernhardt's City State of the Sea Kings is finally back from the printer and out for release. Chris working with Robert Bledsaw Jr (Bob Bledsaw's son and now owner of Judges Guild) has released the first official Judges Guild products in ages.

It covers the Isle of the Blest which just lies off the southern tip of the Padizan Peninsula. The central land mass of the Wilderlands and includes the City State of the Sea Kings, Rallu.

I did some of the cartography including the big map of the Isle of the Blest.

I will blogging more about this style later. I consider it one of my best works as the map builds directly off of the wilderness style hex maps of Judges Guild. If you look closely you will see I drew each hex exactly like the ones found in Mines of Custalon, Spies of Lightelf, etc. Also this map prompted me to rebuild the zipatone jungle texture that the original maps used.

This image by Wayne Rossi show how it looks when you get it in hand.

Note that it does have high shipping cost because Chris ships it either via priority mail or express mail.

Larry Elmore Clipart

Back during the d20 Boom, Larry Elmore released a book and CD-ROM of images for gamers to use. Some of them were licensed for reuse in a publishing project.

Teazia has been collecting public domain art for reuse (19th century/early 20th century fantasy images) and got Larry Elmore permission to post the images from the collection. You can browse and download the images from here. The last two images of the collection is a copy of the license and has more information on what you can and can't do with the images.

Reaper Boiling Water Fix

I know I have been lax about posting. Between regular life stuff and working on Raggi's English Civil War setting I have not been getting around to updating the blog.

With that being said, my friend Dan and I got our Reaper Miniatures and divided them up. I will have a later post with pictures.

Because of this I been reading various Google+ posts and blog posts on other people getting their Reapers. There been issue with bent miniatures, using my Google-fu I found this handy video on how to use boiling water/ice bath to fix the problem.
